What is ZEAL?

We Create Spaces for Black Artists to Thrive.

Our worker-owned multimedia group is a studio, creative agency , and multimedia platform that provides artist development and cultural production support to Black artists and creatives across the diaspora. We are a network of Black artists creating spaces for learning, support infrastructure, and opportunity for Black cultural platforms with an immersive and participatory approach to harness our cultural equity. We see ourselves as cultural co-creators that are continuing the legacy of the Black Arts Movement, by providing the support systems necessary for our cultural work to evolve beyond flashpoint moments of crisis. We see ourselves as cultural conjurers and alchemists that are continuing the legacy of our ancestors by providing the support systems necessary for our cultural work to thrive economically.

We collaborate through leadership development, skill sharing and consulting with Black creatives as well as organizations, companies, art & literary collectives, cultural institutions, other programs, brands, and platforms that highlight and center Black art and culture.  ZEAL is currently based in Inglewood, CA and Brooklyn, NY.
